About Me
Colin Gallagher

I believe everyone deserves a chance to escape, even if just for a little while. That is why I create games and immersive experiences to give people a world to step into and just have fun. I recently earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Media and Game Development from WPI with a 3.79 GPA, and I am actively looking for entry-level opportunities in game design, interactive design, narrative design, and immersive experience design.

I bring three core skills to everything I do: creativity, collaborative teamwork, and problem solving. At WPI, I co-designed an original fictional world from scratch and built a fully playable 51-page TTRPG campaign within it, receiving an A on the project. I also shipped a complete 3D platformer in 6 weeks as part of a 6-person team using Unreal Engine 5. In Melbourne, Australia, I analyzed 6 competitor websites and conducted stakeholder interviews to deliver design recommendations.

What makes me different is that I do not just build experiences, I build worlds people want to get lost in. I have the technical skills in Unreal Engine 5, ZBrush, Unity, C++, and 3D character creation to bring these worlds to life. I recently completed the Disney College Program (All Star Music Custodial), which deepened my understanding of what it means to create experiences that truly transport an audience. I have a passion for travel and have taken that curiosity internationally, completing a project in Melbourne, Australia. If you are building something that gives people a reason to smile, I would love to be part of your team.

What I am Currently Doing

I am currently working as a Game Designer and Worldbuilder at DreamScape Studios LLC, where I am helping build a horror experience in Unreal Engine 5. Right now my focus is on the characters, developing their lore, their background objects, and their conversations with each other and with the main character, Arthur. Once we secure funding I will be moving into level design as well, so I am thinking about the spatial and environmental side of the project even as I build out the narrative layer. This project is allowing me to keep my Unreal Engine 5 skills sharp.
